Apocalypse Now!

The end is nigh. These are the end days. We're in waiting of The Great Reset. It is imminent. By these assumptions, we should live in a state of constant anxiety.

Live every day like it's your last. It creates a sense of urgency: To do what we want to do sooner. Fear motivates. Fear is good. You feel a threat, therefore you prepare.

"Doomsday" provides an arbitrary finite end. We'll have to wait to see if it happens during our lifetime. But that's not the point. We start with the end in mind. Therefore, an absolute end serves as a finish line we're racing towards. In actuality, that's a shifting goal post.

"Doomsday" is like the fake closing-down sale of an everyday discounter store. Exclusive special offers, for a limited time only or while stocks last. It's a ploy to create urgency.

Urgency is an artificial construct of overthinking. We are a victim of our own intellect. Knowledge is a curse. Our understanding of time; past, tomorrow, future, etc. We worry about the future consequences, of our past actions. We're distracted from living in the present. The thing we do now, is usually linked to some fantasy of the future.

This has to stop now. The end.
